'Do Not Think. Do.’ Psychophysical Acting Short Course
Within this workshop participants will be focusing on mind, body and voice; not as three separate elements but as one. To find true harmony between the body, mind and voice. This highly physical intensive training will place emphasis on the connection with ourselves, others and the physical, vocal and psychological strength of the performer.
The workshop will allow participants the unique opportunity to grow and develop as
actors through a dynamic, unique and intense physical practice with roots in the practice of Stanislavski, Peter Brook and Grotowski. This workshop will aid actors looking to develop their work on both stage and screen.
Participants can expect to work with:
- Text (monologues and a scene sent in preparation)
- Impulse work
- Rhythm Work
- Spatial Awareness training
- Support of partners and self
Important Information:It is important to note that this will be a highly physical workshop, and you must wear movement friendly clothes and bring water.
